Somber and melancholic yet triumphant and hopeful at the same time. Uppstigning delivers passages that will spark the imagination and stoke the warrior spirit within us all.

An introspective journey through the mind and heart desperately yearning for a higher plane, eagerly reaching upwards. The majestically grandiose glistening above the delicately ethereal. A call to greatness not all can hear. Can you?
"Uppstigning" ("Climb" or "Rise") stands for both: the physical act of climbing towards a higher point and for the metaphor of overcoming, of striving. Of ascension.
In Greek mythology, "Heros" describes a hero, who stands in the middle between men and gods. A demigod.
"Heros (An ascension in 4 chapters)" explores the mystical, timeless concept of a journey, of an esoteric inner path towards self-overcoming and transcendence, depicted through the symbol of the mountain.
Beginning at the lowest conceivable point, a limbo devoid of any hope or light, a divine inspiration calls towards a glimpse of potential reality, foreshadowing on the horizon.
Evermore onwards and upwards the arduous, solitary trail leads, semingly endless, until the highest top is reached, the inner snow-capped, storm-lashed summit. Here, isolated and wreathed by the icy, unrelenting winds of solitude and self-awareness, it emerges from the mist: a deep, profound truth, that was always there, hidden behind the fragile veil of a modern age of mediocrity.
The fog is dissolving, the distraction has waned, the path lies in clear sight.
In solemn glory it towers up in defiance, unreachable and eternally hidden from malevolent stares from below: The fortress of light, the inner solar kingdom, invincible and impregnable.
"Heros" is a ritual. A musical sigil. An inner self-initiation and self-transformation. A way of awakening the perpetual archetype of the inner hero - the "Heros" - from its numbing slumber.
Anthems of inner Hyperborea
Hymns of victory and defiance.
Primordial meditations for spiritual ascension.
Every note on "Heros" is exactly at the place where it shall be.
Heed the call.
Rekindle the flame.
To victory.

It is advised to listen to Heros on headphones.
For both, an equally aggrivated and deeper experience it should be listened to in total solitary darkness, while gazing into the perennial multiverse. Ordinary eyes are not needed for those who see behind the veil.
Psychedelic substances, meditative patternsand ritualistic practices of all sorts and traditions are not necessary, but can assist in further amplifying the experience and - in the end: accelerate the process of ascension.

I met Fogweaver through Vedurnan and, later, Magelight. This more energetic take on their music is wonderful and exciting, a compelling twist bearing their unique signature. emanuele127

My favorite material from Solstice! Despite their amazing discography that lay before this that completely set the foundation, this in my opinion is where it all comes to a mighty peak. What an amazing emotional and powerful picture painted in such a short amount of time. Talon Sullivan
